Attendees: Roy Laming (ESRI), Johanna Fyfe (Eduserv Chest), Helen Jacob (Eduserv Chest), Peter Hall (York University), Anna Clough (Leeds University), Karl Yellop (Cambridge University).

A new member, Anna Clough, was welcomed to the Focus Group. Kamie Kitmitto, Manchester University, sent his apologies. It was agreed that representation from the FE community would be welcomed and Roy was to approach some FE Sites.

A number of enhancements such as additional products and services that could be added to the Agreement were discussed; e.g., Productivity Suite. Work on an amendment to the contract should start shortly and be announced to the community in Q1 of next year.

An ESRI E-Survey has been approved and is ready for distribution. This survey will be sent to Technical Contacts named on the Chest Agreement. ESRI is also planning to send a newsletter to licensed sites.

ESRI is planning one day technical seminars for Q1 2007.

Roy clarified overseas use by explaining that there is an agreement between ESRI distributor networks worldwide that each has exclusivity in the country of origin. Short term overseas use is acceptable, but ESRI UK cannot be seen to take advantage of this option. Projects of longer durations may result in the country of origin donating the software for that period of time.
